Volunteer Opportunities

At the heart of our network lie the volunteers that give of themselves in order to help neighbors. Being an organization that is based on giving, there is always need for volunteers. Come join us and take advantage of the many opportunites to help families stay together and get back on their feet.

Through our network, we offer many opportunities to get involved, with varying time commitments:

  • Family Day Center on 9th Ave

  • Tutoring

  • Transportation

  • Pet Care

  • Homelessness Awareness

  • Moving Families

  • Job Searching

  • Maintenance

  • Meals & Overnight Stays through Host and Partner Congregation.

Becoming a Volunteer for Family Promise of Lewis Clark Valley

All volunteers must complete a free volunteer training seminar before working with the families. This training will provide you with materials that will equip you and inform you of the workings of our network. Orientations are held at various times throughout the year. Once you have been trained, you have a multitude of opportunities – far beyond the ones listed above. If you, as a volunteer, have specific skills or talents, we would be happy to accommodate whatever time you are willing to share.

Be a Saturday Volunteer!

Family Promise of Lewis Clark Valley needs trained volunteers who are willing to help out on Saturdays. When a need arises, we will contact you with the shifts that are available. This volunteer opportunity would be mostly at the Day center. It's an easy way to get involved. For more information, call our office at (208) 798-3349.
